The 365 Commitment

A New Day

Today is a new day. Yesterday, last year is gone. My 365 commitment is over and now I am on to the life journey. I have many things I am still working on getting to “365” on, but the core habit I am now officially “lifetime.”

You see you probably have a habit after 90 days. Repeat that 90 days  4 times and you will have a habit for life. Here I am. I will wake up everyday and do my list and go to bed every night reporting on it. I am a changed man.

Today is a new day. I am planning to make each day count as much as possible. When I commit to do an activity, I am going to really commit to it and do the best that I can. I am not going to dance around it. I am going to commit and do the best I can and leave it all on the table (what does that even mean)? When I do my daily 365 list items, I am going to do them with quality. I am not just going to get them done.

I am also going to dedicate my next chapter of the 365 commitment to serving other people. This will be tough, I am a complete introvert, but I will find a way. I will force myself to do so. Just like this blog. Exposing my soul for all the world to see is not an exercise I enjoy, it is tactical. I am doing it because of the value it brings me and hopefully a few others.

So I started a new notebook today. Page 1. Had a debate with myself. Do I start with a (1) or a (366)? I decided to go with keeping the () behind my name and just writing a blog article. Maybe I will one day have a (20,000) behind my name. Wouldn’t that be something? I am passing the torch of the Daily Blog to Ben Wagner. A 365 Member who has started his journey!
