The 365 Commitment

Day 304 – What if you could repeat?

I have brought this concept up before, but needed to remind myself. At the end of each day, I contemplate how I did toward the 365 commitment I made that morning. As I conclude that review, I like to ask myself the question, “If I were able to repeat this day over again, what would I have done differently?”

This is a probing question that requires some serious inspection. If you are willing you can identify that exact point in which you deviated from you morning plan and ambition to accomplish what was important.

Perhaps the morning list is where it all went wrong? Maybe you were not really serious about having a great day. Perhaps you allowed yourself to become numb, you were not awake.

Well wake the bleep up! Your life, your only life is still ahead of you. Make it great and it starts with every day! Every morning when you start, start with dedication and passion to have the best day possible. You do not have many of those left, so make them count!!

Perhaps you drifted away from greatness because you allowed someone else to distract you from your mission. Sometimes that is unavoidable. Thanks Boss, Thanks Child, Thanks Cosmos for Making sure my tire went flat today.  However did you go down without a fight? Did you give in too easily?

Fight. Fight. Fight. If you choose to help another instead of your commitment then do so with purpose, only then is it a worthy sacrifice!

Perhaps you let stress and anxiety overwhelm you? Perhaps you got distracted by some prehistoric impulse coming from your sub conscious. Whatever it is, did you take a step back and really look at yourself and evaluate what you were doing? Turn off the autopilot, you are not commuting to your death here, you are trying to change your destiny! Pay attention! Sharp curves ahead!

Anyway, if you could repeat yesterday, how would you have done it differently?

Well guess what, you will have many more days to try again until you do get it right, well that is until you take your last breath.

Well I for one am going to keep trying to get it right, every day, until God forces my will to finally let my soul rest!
