The 365 Commitment

Day 358 – The Saving Power of Habits

When you have established habits that you must maintain, that you will maintain no matter what the circumstances then you will realize how powerful they are.

It will happen on the days when you do not get much done. On the days when, for the most part, you are completely adding no value to the world. It is those days that the habits kick in and you accomplish the new foundation that you have established.

Rather then staying stagnant or even taking a few steps back you are making small incremental progress. Some progress, everyday, is much better then a string of days of going backwards, and/or making no progress at all.

So on a day when things are not going well, habits make sure you make some progress. In this manner your bad days become productive. Out of 365 days, I am assuming you will have at least 100 bad days, or day typically considered unproductive. This is a large percent of your time if you think about it. Imagine if everyday, even the bad ones, were productive?

This the saving power of habits.
