I learned tonight that my goal should not be to get people to have the same values. That is not only not right, but not feasible. Rather a better idea, the proper idea, is to align values.

Here is more specifically what I mean. You should not ask people to put your interests over their own. You should instead consider how you can help them achieve their objectives by also achieving yours. When that happens, things really start to click.

That effectively is the key to exponential success.
