We all think that design by committee is the best approach, but reality is that it produces an inferior result of a bunch of disconnected parts.
What actually works is one person driving an over all vision and getting people that are the best at what they do building individual components. The person controlling the outcome sets requirements and expectations for a unified result.
Leadership is certainly not getting a bunch of people together to “work” on something.
