I am a powerful force of nature and so are you. Nature is powerful because it has time and so do you. The consistency of nature over the span of time can cause mountains to move, seas to form, oceans to dry up, canyons to form, rocks to break and stars to form. You can transform with consistency and time. What started as me running a few blocks 210 days ago, had me running a 1/2 marathon this morning. Yup, I ran 13.6 miles this morning. Woohoo!
I am in the process of transforming and so can you. You are powerful and the way you tap into that power is with a little drip everyday until you have a wellspring of capability and capacity. A little trickle may not seem like a lot at first, but overtime and with persistence you will have gouged a crevasse into the earth as large as the grand canyon. At least it will feel that way, as it does for me now. Running for over 2 hours straight was not even a concept in my mind early this year and now I was able to cruise through it. Honestly, it was not that hard. Sure it hurt and parts of me were annoyed and my feet are sore and I feel tired now, but I could have kept going.
You want to be powerful, then mimic nature. There are many laws nature lives by, but one is certainly true above all and that is slow and steady growth. Little by little the vine grows until it has taken over the entire forest floor. One by one the queen ant generates another ant, until it eventually produces the most destructive force in all of nature – the ant hill. Each day, each inch forward, each forward progress until the compilation of your effort is insurmountable.
Put a person who has been doing something steady everyday, with consistent practice against any person with raw unpracticed talent and the person that has put the time in will always have an insurmountable advantage. Serena Williams will kick your butt in Tennis. Sure she is a freak of nature with physical conditioning that is amazing, but what will really bury you is the time she has put into the game every day, every year for her entire life.
You can gain power from anything that is good, but you have to dedicate time to it everyday, repeating, trying, failing, learning and over time you will slowly earn that power. It will not happen in a week, or even two. Most likely it will take 7 to 8 weeks and you will start to be able to harness and in fact store the power that comes from dedication. You have been on the right track probably many times – but you gave up too early. Those of you who did not give up, know exactly what I am talking about.
