The 365 Commitment

Day 269 – The Law of Accumulation

There seems to be a hidden law regarding the slow accumulation of ability and capacity with repetitive habit. It does not matter how slow you start out, or how small your incremental process is if you continuously accumulate progress you will improve dramatically overtime.

For this law to work, you have to be patient. For example, if you want to lose weight then simply eat fewer calories then you burn every day and then have the patience and commitment to wait. Eventually, you will lose weight. It might take longer then you want, but is absolutely true.

If you are not good at something, just work on the thing you are not good at every day for a length of time and then you will discover that you are better, far better then you expect. A mountain looks a lot less intimidating after several days of walking up the trail.

Quite simply if you want to improve at something, just stop whining about it, and spend a specific amount of time everday learning how to do it better. You will be better. Slowly at first but then your results will accumulate and you will discover greatneas.
