Significance is Struggle

I think all people want to be significant in some way. Significant to themselves, to their family, to their society. They want to matter.

This is an emotion that I have. I think the desire to be significant in some way is greater than a desire for wealth. The two are related because we see people that accomplish great things also getting rewarded by fortune, riches and accolades.

True significance is gained trough struggle. That just seems like a universal law written into the cosmos. In order to be better, in order to grow or progress you must struggle. When you struggle, you become stronger. Your roots grow deep.

So if you want to be more significant, then you better be ready to meet some resistance. That is just the way it is going to be, so quit complaining and EMBRACE THE SUCK.
