Roughly 18 months ago I created a vision for my future self. I created a symbol as a shortcut for that vision which would make it easier to remember what it is that I wanted to become.

I used the number 78. The reason is that that I built a memory system in which I have 100 rooms, each representing a number from 0 to 99. 78 takes place at a particular classroom at my high school and that is where I created the future vision. So when I think of 78, I remember that vivid thought of exactly who I wanted to become.

The vision, which has actually become a memory for me, included several thing and one of them came exactly true today. To be able to cross the finish line of a marathon in 4 hours. I visualized friends and family there to greet me. I knew what I would be wearing and I knew there would a significant representation of something that I created there as well.

Well, that vision came exactly true today. I finished the marathon ahead of the 4 hour pacer, I crossed the finish line and my family and friends were there. One of the 365commitment blog readers (Victoria) got the idea to print up a tshirt with a new logo for my blog on it. Everyone was wearing that shirt, which was really cool. Yup, a major part of 78 became truth today.

The conclusion here is that anyone can create a future vision of themselves and through prayer, dedication and keeping commitments everyday can make that become a reality.
