Visualize Future Self

Before you set goals, before you set objectives, and create ways to measure your progress you may want to consider spending a considerable amount of time visualizing your future self. Prolonged periods of time where you think about what you are going to be like in the future. I am not talking some distant idea either. I am talking a complete visualization. What exactly will you be? When will this happen? How will you know? What event will cause it? What will you be wearing even? How detailed can you get about your future vision?

Here is the deal. The more focused on your future vision you become, the more clear you become in your day to day activities and decision making. That alone will cause infinitely more precision when it comes to architecting your future. The little things that you do all day long, will be targeted at a destination and that is far better than a hap hazard bumping through life like a pinball in a game machine. Creating a future vision of yourself is just like determining what mountain you are going to climb. Getting to the top of a particular mountain is a whole lot easier when you actually start to climb it rather than meandering around the valley floor at the base of many mountains.

The first step in any successful journey is to get on the path, the correct path.
