Open to New

One of the hardest things to do in life is to be open to new ideas. We can pretend that we are, but reality is that most of us are not. Most of us are actually very closed minded when it comes to new things brought to. It is extremely difficult to suspend your view point long enough to let a new idea even have a chance of surviving a few minutes of our personal judgement.

I have an idea. I am going to try it tomorrow. I am going to wait until someone brings me a new idea (I get several per day) and I am going to actually listen to it carefully, really understand it and suspend my judgement. I am actually going to be open to something new.
