This concept of consistent persistence is probably the single greatest concept for success that I can think of. Consistently showing up and doing the required work and then persistently pursuing the objective is the formula. All other elements are trivial by comparison. Being consistent will far outweigh any other idea that people will come up with. For example, if you wanted to get better and free throws with a basketball. There are many techniques, methods, drills that you can learn, but the single greatest way to get better at making free throws is to shoot more free throws and to do so consistently over time. You will get far better, it is inevitable. Then to do this with persistence. When you suck, you persist. When you have a set back, you persist. When you completely fail, you persist. When you get sick, you persist. When you miss a day, you persist.
