Day 146 – Music

I am writing this blog while hanging out in line with a bunch of kindred souls at the 50th anniversary celebration of Jethro Tull.

You may not understand the passionate rhythm of the passion play, but everyone understands music.

Music can alter a mood, motivate the mind, lift the weary and inspire the inner spirit. Music is starting to become a tool for me, and the right type of music in the right setting can get me to the right place to be the most effective.

Classical music in the morning helps me run and think. Instrumental music during the day helps me focus on the task at hand, and just the right music during my drive can change a dark day to a light day.

Life may indeed be a long song, so as I skate away on the thin ice of life I will consider how music may be the key to helping me become a better man.
