Day 167 – Consistency is a Resevoir

I have discovered that when one is consistent in terms of following a course of productive habits a reservoir is built up. This is a repository of strength accumulated each and day as you push through the struggle to maintain the habit.

There will come a day when you encounter a great challenge that requires you to dip into the strength that you have built. I am learning that is good feeling, the calluses built from pushups at 5am can withstand a little stress.

Contrast this to less then a year ago when a challenging day would derail me quickly. Then a rough day would send me into a tail spin. It is a good feeling to actually have a reservoir to pull from.
