The final letter in the GROW model is W, which stands for Way Forward. Using GROW method over the past four blogs, we took time to ask ourselves some good questions and derive a clear picture of what we want, in the context of our actual reality, and we took into consideration our current situation, identifying specific things to focus our attention on, what now?
The answer is finding a Way Forward. The 365 Commitment is a Way Forward, an effective and serious way forward. Making a commitment is paramount. You have to commit, because there will be plenty of days when you don’t “feel” like following through. Your decision to make a strong commitment will help . . .a lot.
Once committed, how are you going to go about taking action? We recommend starting with the creation of good habits designed to move you toward the goals you have set. One great habit is making your daily list of what is most important to you and holding yourself accountable to it each night before sleep a 365 Commitment foundation. This way you are always putting that question before your mind and spirit and before the world. Because of the way we work as living beings, over time all your faculties/powers/resources will come to bear to try and answer this question, every thing in our life will become contextualized in terms of moving closer to your goals – toward what is most important, regardless of the nature of what that is.
Making the 365 Commitment will put powerful forces in motion! You will make a dent in the universe, no doubt about it, the world will transform to you because your perception has changed. You will change. You are a creative being putting powerful forces in motion; be sure that it is for the good and realize you must align yourself with the highest good you can imagine. We are all capable of good or evil. In order to avoid making things in the world worse, I say align yourself with the highest good, for me that is God, and that is why daily prayer is essential. Regardless of your particular belief, find a way to connect to the greatest force for good you can imagine and pray or connect however you can to this force as you seek blessings for each days’ habits and tasks. This is a 365 foundation.
The way forward is now before you, head down this road, take one incremental step at a time, one day at a time, doing your best, asking yourself questions to tap into your inner wisdom, using whatever tools present themselves ( i.e., the GROW model), and making a commitment to forming good habits, taking specific action, and focusing your attention on what matters. What will happen in your life if you do this for 365 consecutive days? Only one way to find out! Make the 365 Commitment.
