Blog 196 – It Works!

Yesterday one of my friends stopped by my house, and as we were chatting, he said that my daily blog posts over this year have really inspired him, that the daily dicipline of making a list of important things each day and doing your best to knock them out was helping him!

Well his words were gratifying.  We also talked about doing hard things each day and tactics for self dicipline. For example, always do somthing hard before you allow yourself to do something you like.  This simple act trains us to consistently delay gratification!  Daily practices like this add up over time and grow us up.

He mentioned a book called “Atomic Habits” where he got this idea and other habit building tactics. I think I’ll check it out.

Today I have the flu. Not fun, first time I’ve been sick in probably a year or more. So, I’m down in bed resting and drinking fluids.  Still, knowing that sharing my 365 journey has inspired even one person has made my day – thanks for the encouragement Jonathan!
