When you wake up in the morning and you have a few moments to yourself, what do you spend it doing? Reading news? Updating social media? Checking email? Hitting snooze a few more times? Do you just get started with your day and let it come as it will?

Perhaps you have a loose idea of things you have to do, or things you need to get done. That might dictate some of your activity. However, are you really in charge at that point? Is your focus being directed by other people or perhaps other forces?

Rather – consider this. Spend time in the early morning and make a deliberate choice as to what to focus on. Choose your focus. If something is not scheduled already, take the rest of the time available and spend it on WHAT YOU CHOOSE rather than on things people choose for you.
