Many people work on a problem and end up producing a complicated scheme that is confusing and requires to many inputs and variables to manage. They will proudly stand behind their work, and many people will comment on how smart they are. That is probably true, smart and capable of handing a complex problem and coming up with a complex solution.
However, real genius, real capability is to take a complex problem and reduce it to simplicity. Simple is what solves. Simple is what moves. Simple produces results.
We should, therefore, aspire to simplicity and not complexity.
