To Do Everyday – 23 Days Left

There are some things that you should do everyday. I supposed we could put a list together and try to rank them. You should definitely spend time with someone you love everyday. You should acknowledge God or whatever you subscribe to everyday. You should consider what you are grateful for everyday. You should be kind to others everyday. You should spend time doing something that you are passionate about everyday. There are many things that you can, should and want to do everyday. However there is one thing that you should absolutely do everyday without fail and that is:

Suffer.

That is right, you need to suffer everyday. If you have not suffered, then you are not progressing as a person. Pushing your limits, learning something new, trying something new, reaching new heights, extending yourself to uncharted territory is a prerequisite for growth. Unfortunately, this is never easy. Moving into the wilderness frontier of your future life will always carry with it and nice healthy dose of suffering. So when you go through the day and think of all the things that you need to do today, consider if you suffered or not.

I think we all know what it is that will cause us to suffer. We will avoid it, we will not want to do it, but we know. So, yup, time to suffer. Do the thing that you do not want to do, but know that you need to do. Do it and just because you do not like it, do it twice, or for longer time. Relish in suffering. It is by suffering you grow. Does that not make you feel better about it?
