My son taught me that one of the greatest values of early Greco/Roman culture was that of hospitality. The God of Zeus, the primary deity, was actually considered the god of hospitality. In a world now of locked doors, alarms, and unknown neighbors that feels like a distant concept. We are now putting values like equity or fairness at the top, when the ancient world attributed an incredible amount of respect for treating strangers and guests with dignity. Very interesting. Guy
