Day 3 – Magnification

When I was 19 years old I made an important decision. I decided to just start acting like a religious person. I remember the date even, July 24th. I decided to just start doing things that religious people do. It is kind of funny looking back at what I thought was “religious” at age 19. Regardless of some of the silly things I started doing, the one important thing that I decided a “religious” person would do is pray everyday.

My concept was that if I started acting like a religious person, then maybe I would discover a benefit – a hidden truth. Perhaps I would learn for myself that God really did exist.

My experiment did not take very long. A few months into my experiment I started to notice something. My efforts were being MAGNIFIED. I do not know how else to describe it. Every time I have turned to God, or this something greater then myself, it has caused the things I have been working on or trying to accomplish to just happen.

That is happening now as I have kept the Club 365 commitment. For the last 3 days, I have prayerfully started each day with a prioritized list of tasks that I believe are important. I have always had these types of tasks to do everyday, that has not changed. However, this last three days – I have noticed that the tasks are just easier to accomplish! It seems that the path is paved for me to get them done, it seems that there emerges each day a way for me to accomplish multiple tasks at once. The only way I can describe it is that God is magnifying my efforts.

I believe that everyone that is on the 365 commitment, will experience this too. I am not encouraging the behavior to brag or boast about success – however – one of my inspirations when I started this concept was to share, and share often. It is my firm belief that everyone that follows the basic commitment of Club 365 will have this amazing power of magnification occur in their lives!
