The problem with a list is that you will sometimes get “tunnel vision.” It happened to me this morning. I actually wrote down a persons name on my list this morning and had a task down to do something for that person at around #5 on my list. I put it at #5 because I was thinking that it would not be until later today that I would be able to have the time to keep that commitment. This morning an opportunity came up for me to help that person, it came out of left field and I was not expecting it.
My first reaction was to think, I cannot do that, I am too busy trying to get my list done. Then I realized – wait a minute? Didn’t I pray for help today to get my list done? Didn’t I pray for inspiration and confidence to accomplish what was important to me? An opportunity is being presented for me to quickly and easily get one of my most important tasks done, and I am upset because it is coming at a different time during the day?!! What!??
I looked at my schedule and realized what I had scheduled during that time slot was meaningless and trivial and had nothing to do with my commitment list. That was about the easiest decision I have made all week. I politely cancelled that meeting and decided to take advantage of the opportunity to serve the person on my list instead.
There you go. Be Open to opportunities that present themselves. Who knows, maybe there actually is a divine presence guiding your life and helping you accomplish your 365 list?

P.S. Know of anyone that could benefit from the 365 commitment? The best way to make sure you keep the commitment is to get others in your circle of family and friends doing it too! Get them to “commit” and send me their name and email. Simple. Just like the commitment.
