Day 48 – Remembering the List

When you wake in the morning and you create a list of what is most important for you to accomplish, and then you pray/meditate over that list – you have created a great plan. A plan that if you were to accomplish – you would make the most of your day.

Now you need to remember the list. If you bring a notebook with you – that works. Or perhaps a note on your phone – although I do not like this idea as much. I am starting to figure out that my phone is a distraction from me accomplishing my list!!

My new way is to create a small little journey in my mind. My list usually is about 10 items long and I have now created this mental mind map where I walk through 10 areas at my Grandmother’s house in Colorado. In each room I visualize something that reminds me of what I committed to do that morning.

I have tried this for a few days and it seems to be working well. It helps me to remember what I want to focus on and as a periodically walk through this mental mind map, I am reminded of what is important.

Just a suggestion – you can only accomplish your great list if you actually remember what is on it!!
