Day 150 – Source of Inspiration

I did it! 100 days in a row of waking up everday at 5am, running at least two miles, and do x number of pushups, setups, and squats. Today I did 100 each!

On top of that, I have kept the 365 commitment and I have written this blog for 150 days in a row.

No big deal, tomorrow I will do 151/101. However, I feel I have the right to take a pause and pat myself on the back!

As I have gone through this, I have had to seek for sources of inspiration along the way. Reading, listening to audio books, watching YouTube videos, music and other creative things have helped me to push through each day and continue to drive myself forward.

I realize now that inspiration is not something that happens to you by accident. I use to think that. It was a little gem that I would discover along the path. I now know that you can manufacturer inspiration, you can expect it. It is almost formulaic. Sounds lame huh? How can inspiration be forced?

Well the best forms of inspiration seem to be intrinsic and inspired by God, our own nature or both. Those, I have discovered, seem to follow a almost predictable pattern. You do the necessary part on your side, and the inspiration comes.

You may not always get the same inspiration, and because the content changes they way it is delivered may also change but it will be there nonetheless.

Perhaps the greatest experience over these 150/100 days has come from the constant flow of inspiration. I think I owe that to the consistent prayers, or maybe all the elements combines. Does not matter, the results are good so I am going to keep the commitment.
