Day 175 – Meditation

I am a complete skeptic when it comes to meditation. I just have visions of a monk type person sitting in a Tibetan rock plateau with long hair in braids, sitting in the lotus position and chanting a memorized verse over and over again.

However, I am changing my mind. I tried this morning to sit by the water and breathe deliberately and tried not to think of anything for thirty minutes. I have to admit the power of clearing my mind was revealing.

This is probably a new habit that I am going to have to explore with specific intent. Not being lazy in my focused mental activity, but being deliberate and consistent. My mind is undisciplined and unruly. Perhaps these monks figured something out thousands of years ago and
