Day 177 – Today

Just in case you are interested, today, July 2nd marks the midpoint of the Gregorian calendar. Actually, today at 12pm will be the time that marks exactly 1/2 a year. 183 days with 182 remaining today.

My 365 commitment is a little behind that because it was a few days after the start of the new year before I began. Nonetheless, today serves as a reminder that the best time to start accomplishing great things is right now and not tomorrow.

Everday should take you a giant leap forward, or at least that should be your ambition. Live everday as if it was your last is an over used statement, but certainly worthy of a thought.

Why are we not choosing to push forward with vigor and excitement everday toward our primary objectives? Well we are lazy, and have lots of excuses. Work avoidance is a common challenge we all face.

My problem is setting clear objectives, I ponder and think about them for a long time and keep putting off the commitment part. I know that as soon as I commit, I will be on the hook to execute. I keep procrastinating goal setting, I have become quite adept at goal thinking!

So today is the day I decide, once and for all my primary objectives. No more pushing off that commitment until tomorrow. I think I have learned quite a bit during my first half of the 365, now it is time to get serious!
