Day 203 – Rest On Purpose

The thing is you need to rest, I just think is a law written in heaven or perhaps hard coded into our biology. Probably both.

The fact is resting is critical, but I am learning that resting under pressure is never good. You have to rest on purpose.

So how do you rest on purpose? Not sure I really know. I think it helps to change your environment. I think it helps to find a way to be actively engaged in something that forces you to stop mentally engaging in whatever worries you.

It requires being deliberate and it requires planning. Unplanned rest does not seem to work because there are issues that come up that stop you. For example, other people’s expectations, external requirements, and basic life needs that could prevent or hinder an unplanned rest day.

I am thinking I need to add, plan my next rest stop, to my 365 list one Day and be very deliberate in planning it out.
