Day 204 – Try Something New

I have often wondered why people are reluctant to change their ways when their current results are not favorable.

I realize now that I was doing the same thing. I had never liked the end results, yet I continued down this pattern of trying to create the perfect system to fix all my problems. The perfect system would only last a few days at the most. The 365 commitment, built on an entirely different concept, is the first time I have kept anything up for more then 30 days.

So I tried something new, and I am experiencing a change for the better. However, I now understand why people do not try something new. My whole life, as I continuously failed and creating the perfect system to govern my activities, I thought ideas trying something new. You see, I was blind to the reality that ideas just repeating the same habitual pattern over and over again – just in a different form.

So trying something new is not an easy step, it is actually very difficult. Relativity is always a problem for the person who cannot take a step back and see their path for what it really is.

So next time you think you are trying something new to improve your life, think carefully. Are you really doing something different or just repeating the same pattern again?
