Day 241 – It adds up

One of my favorite authors is Brandon Sanderson. He is in the fantasy and science fiction genre. He is a good writer because he is really good at developing a “magic system” and telling a story of how some really interesting characters interact with it. He has written many books and has slowly become one of the most influential science fiction writers of today.

Recently I watched a lecture he gave at a Google campus. In that lecture he answered a question about his prolific writing. His answer was really interesting and very 365.

He said, it is actually very simple. I write about 2000 words a day and it just adds up.

It just adds up. That is about the sum of my experience doing this 365 commitment. I have confidence now that I can accomplish almost anything because I can commit to adding that to my daily routine and over time that progress each and every day will accumulate into something great.
