This 365 commitment has produced some interesting tangents for me as I focus on not only keeping my commitments but doing the best I can when doing them. Have not always put the best effort forward, but everyday I am trying. I have been really trying to figure out if I am running correctly and as I researched that I discovered a interesting concept regarding posture.

As it turns out if your posture is correct, your head up and back straight your hips tend to fall into the correct place and you do not extend your legs incorrectly. Also, when your posture is correct your airway passages are clear and you can breathe and get your lungs full of air.

Overtime a reduced air flow will seriously tire you out. This got me thinking. When I am working at a desk all day, I get really fatigued and tired. I just feel wiped out and I do not feel better until I have had a chance to relax, or sleep for a while. I realized that when I work at a desk I do not have great posture. I have always thought this was just going to cause me to be crippled in someway when I was older, but I suddenly realized that when I am sitting at a computer all day, hunched over, I am not getting a full breath.

So by the end of the day, I am wiped out for a very simple reason. I am not breathing well at all, and it takes its toll over time. This got me thinking of how my posture effects many things – and sure enough it, after some consideration throughout the day – my posture is a mess all day.

I am not sure what to do about this – fix it somehow? I am starting small. When I run, I am focused on straight posture. When sitting at the computer, I sit straight. I will start with that and see if anything improves.
