Blog 85 – Just Do Now – You Got This!

Today’s message is simple.  Don’t worry at all about anything.   The farthest goal you need to envision is   . . .  tonight when you lay your head on the pillow and you have just completed reviewing today’s list and checking in, and then resting easy knowing you did it!  Imagine you have finished today, and that’s it.  The longest term goal in your mind, the farthest you can see, is simply focusing on today, just for today.  All you have to do is keep your commitment to yourself today.

Now, pull your focus in tighter.  The only thing to do Now – is the next task that is right in front of you.   Become immersed, engrossed, obsessed (whatever adjective works best for you) in what you have to do now.  Maybe it is preparing that healthy lunch you committed to making yourself every day? Maybe it’s going for that run or doing those pushups?  Whatever it is enjoy it!  Give yourself completely to this next moment right in front of you and continue in that mode all day.

Today, I am celebrating a solid 91 days of 365 Commitment! Woo hoo!  Last year, on at least one occasion I made it to 90 days, but not past.  However this year I have re-committed with a stronger commitment, and more resolve, and more experience.  Failure is quitting, and you never fail if you simply start again and learn from the past.  Now, I am past 90 and stand at 91 with a strong commitment to just do today as best I can.  Today is a personal best for me.  It is a great feeling, and this day holds much promise!  I feel very alive today and grateful to God for all the opportunity laid before me.

Just do today, just do Now, you got this.  You really do.
