Tomorrow versus Now Mentality

The beginning of a slump, a period of time when you go off the rails with your health and commitments, starts with the “I will start all of that tomorrow mentality.” The step to launch yourself into an improved health program starts with the “I am going to do something right now mentality.”
Which mentality do you have right now?

Tomorrow is failure. Now is success. Seriously, if you are thinking you are going to start tomorrow, then you will be still thinking that way tomorrow and then tomorrow again and then tomorrow will never come. Tomorrow is an excuse. Now is not an excuse. Now is now. Now is I am going to keep the commitment, regardless of the little challenges that I have and I am going to do it anyway.

Tomorrow says that there is a little problem that you need to overcome first. Tomorrow says that you need to get ready, be more prepared. Tomorrow allows you to abandon all commitments today for the idea that you will be able to be awesome starting tomorrow. The problem is that your reckless behavior today makes you tired, overwhelmed, stressed, unhealthy and then tomorrow is really hard and you are probably going to let tomorrow slip to yet another day.

Now does not allow any of that to happen. Now is now. Now means you start today. Now means you make some, even if it is small, progress. Tomorrow is a lot easier when you have the now under control. Now is active. Now is action. Now is you actually doing something with your life, making improvements and facing forward. Tomorrow is head in the sand, licking your wounds, hoping for an energy that will never come tomorrow.

My recommendation? Join the community of Now. There are very few now people, it is an exclusive fun loving group of whole hearted people.
