So in my travels this week, I have discovered some interesting things about Covid.

Covid does not exist in an airplane but it does exist in an airport.

Covid does exist in public areas unless the public area is a large commercial shopping district, in that area Covid does not exist.

Covid does not exist in your family gathering but it does exist when two families come in close proximity to each other.

Covid does exist as an airborne transmitted virus unless you are near water, with lots of tourists. Then it simply does not exist anymore.

Generally where Covid prevents people from spending money or having fun, it does not exist. Any other function and it is a highly contagious airborne transmitted disease.

Now, I am not making a political statement here at all. This is just an observation, validated by empirical evidence of traveling for the first time in a while.

Which leads me to this idea. The covid mindset is an interesting study in active dissonance by both individuals as well as large collections of people such as government institutions or private corporations. We can actually observe this dissonance going on, actively right in front of us. Which makes me wonder, how active a role does dissonance play in our daily lives? Do we beleive in something only under specific conditions? Do we suspend belief when it is inconvenient for us? How often do we do this?

In reverse as well. Am I confident in my abilities in most circumstances but when I get to a specific set of conditions, I suddenly become a timid mouse? This strange ability for humans to do this, exist and live with a distance or separation with what they believe to be truth is fascinating!

I wonder if I can use that as a strength? Perhaps allow myself to view and or participate in certain activities from a different perspective. Is there a direct correlation to creativity? Perhaps and understanding of this can help me overcome weaknesses? I am all about eating healthy, right up until the point the chocolate fudge shows up on the kitchen counter. I am all about helping others, right up until the point it becomes hard.

Something to ponder. I guess being on vacation gives me the luxury for pondering such things!!
