60 and 6 before 6

So I have noticed that slowly over time I have started to get a little wimpy. Yup, at one time I was running 60 miles a week and doing 400 pushups, situps, squats daily followed up with a chaser on the weekend of 20+ miles. However, I have allowed myself to slowly slink away into mediocrity. Yes, I still run, Yes, I still do exercises but I have allowed my primal mind to fool myself into thinking that I am doing enough. Well no more!

My new concept, which I started yesterday, is to get the tough stuff done right away in the early morning hours before my brain has time to even think about it. Do the absolute bare minimum daily regimen. Now this will not forgo my other activities that I am trying to do, but rather make sure that I am getting the absolute core done. You see if I raise the minimum floor, then there is no way for me to whine my way out of it!

So here is the new floor. The first thing I do when I wake up is set a timer, I then have 60 minutes to get my butt out of bed get dressed, shoes on, and down in my home gym and do the following routine – 60 pushups, 60 situps, 60 squats and then run 6 miles before 6am.

Here goes!
