The Basement – Day 3

Today is the day that I “leave the beaten path” and try to find the old JMT heading up toward the valley north of Marion Peak. Marion was another famous photographer who was a frequent visitor to this area. The JMT was abandoned here because it was too steep. However, I will not be daunted!!! We are going to climb up to the lakes in that area that no one ever sees and head our way to Marion Lake. This is dedicated to that same man, and it is name after him because of the plaque he put there to dedicate to his wife. Our goal is to find it!

Once we have found that, it is time to camp again. Hang out, have some fun. Write some poetry, take some pictures. Basement stuff.
