There are two levels of maturity in thinking that I have been pondering for awhile. The first level, which I have written about before, is the idea of saying no or focusing on a few things rather than many. The ability to choose something over another requires a mature decision. The second level, is recognizing that you may not be able to figure out the ideal before you go to the next step. In fact it is most likely better to get to the next instead of wasting your time spinning your wheels on the best. Immature thinking is to have this belief that you need to know where you are going, exactly, before you begin. Reality is that you will never know exactly where you are going, so instead you should pick a general path and then just get started on the next.

So instead of getting paralyzed by the best, get to the next.
