You do not have to respond to things with negative emotion. You do not even have to respond with positive emotion, in fact you do not have to respond at all. You are in complete control of your response to anything thrown at you. Good or Evil. Great Bounty or Horrible Circumstance, any and all things thrown at you can have a great impact or not an impact on how you react. You cannot control other people. You cannot control the world around you. You cannot control a million different things, but you can absolutely control how you respond. That is the one thing that you are in absolute and complete control of. Consider that carefully. Your feelings. Your reactions. Your emotions are all entirely in your hands. Comforting? Overwhelming? That reaction is also up to you.
