Here is a problem that many of us have, including myself. I have always thought success was when you came up with an incredible idea, and that you performed on that idea with some superhuman ability. Extraordinary in every sense. Reality is that is not the case. The reality is that success actually comes to those who just do something good, slightly better than others and do so consistently for a long period of time.
That is what success really is. Where I have always seen flashy, instantaneous, rocket ship rises to stardom as success, the real winners are the ones that are just slowly doing something well, doing it better than others. Long lasting success is built on pretty consistent principles, pretty hard to fake them.
At the end of the day, it does not matter much what you do. Does not matter what you spend your time on, as long as you do something consistently well for a long period of time. So instead of spending a ton of energy trying to reinvent something, or discover something brilliant, or come up with some get rich quick scheme, you can just figure out something you can do well, consistently overtime and that will be successful.
