Greetings 365 Members!
Today is my ninth day in a row of following this commitment. I have already seen tremendous benefit and I expect it will continue. I think there is some danger in being too “automatic” about this process. This morning I did my best to force myself to really contemplate what was important to me, and what I really needed to accomplish. I CHOSE to believe in God, and really believe that prayer would help guide not only my activities for the day but what I chose to work on.
Choice is a big concept – no time for me today to go into that – but we all do have choice to believe in something bigger then ourselves. Some of us in this group may not actually believe in a Supreme Being, but we all certainly must subscribe to the concept that there is something much grander then our own personal egos at play in this universe. I chose personally to believe that there is a God,and with that choice comes power. The power to accomplish great things, to be a strong individual, to live up to the ideal, to be the defender of what is good and to help put order to chaos.
I think that is a great choice. Some may disagree that it is a true choice, but at this point I think it is irrelevant. The fact is that I choose to believe, I put my faith in a higher power then myself and I try to unite myself with that power in prayer each morning and night and amazing things happen. My last nine days has been filled with connections, revelations, inspirations, affirmations and even moments of astonishment and inspiration.
I hope that each of you choose to participate in this commitment. To establish your tasks each morning, before the day starts. To ask in prayer or meditation if there is anything you missed, or any person you could serve. Then at the end of each day review carefully how you did and make commitments to do better.
Make a choice!
