The Search for Meaning

An interesting development after writing thousands of blog posts, each and every day is lessons on how to search for meaning.

Like travelling down 880 at 10pm after missing a flight to go to a beat up hotel next to airport. Sitting in the back of an uber, listening to a man droll on about the amazing game between the Chargers and Chiefs, searching, searching for meaning.

When you force yourself to write a blog everyday, you have to be on the constant look out for meaning. Someone says something, you hear a quote, you see a sign, a billboard, a book, a podcast and a kawasaki motor cycle speading past at 200mph. Btw, Kawasaki was a man who started that company in Japan in the 1800s to build ships after the European style due to the increased reliability. You see I looked that up. Searching for meaning, anywhere and everywhere.

Many times I find nothing, forcing me to really dig deep or attempt at some witty concept, or dabble in poetry. However, I do at times, find meaning and that is when the writing becomes fun, inspiring and deeply motivating.

There is something to this. Healthier way to discard stress and extract more value from you day-to-day experiences.
