I wonder if honesty really is the best policy? Is transparency in all thoughts and actions the best path? Seems that the gain or benefit for withholding information gets quickly absorbed eventually by consequence. So the the reverse true? The pain you get from honesty and direct feedback, does that get absorbed by the long term gain you get from honesty?
I am thinking so. Transparency seems to always be best, even when the short term is a bit painful.
