Day 244 – 99% of Success

99% of Success is showing up. I was told that growing up and the older I get the more I believe it.

For example, my new running routine. I am not good at it, certainly don’t look good doing it, and absolutely don’t feel good about it at 5am every morning.

However, every morning, I grab my running shoes and show up outside ready to take that first step on a several mile jog. Even though I don’t perform awesome every day, the point is that I just show up.

I can think of several things in life that just simply require your participation to be somewhat successful. No wonder it is so hard to just simply do the basic thing which is the equivalent of showing up.

When I taught at a college, almost all of the students that came to class everyday got As, and all of them at least passed the class.

Showing up is the absolute foundation of success in any endeavor.
