When you wake up in the morning and start your day, what happens?

This is how goals are achieved, early in the morning when you start your day. Do you decide to act or do you just let the day bring it to you, meaning, you are waiting to be acted upon. Pretty obvious that you will not achieve your goals just waiting for things to happen.

So I am going to assume that you start each day with some semblance of a plan. Next question is if each day starts with a definite purpose or does that shift based on mood and whim?

Clearly, I need to realize that I will increase my chances for success by starting each day with the same definite purpose.
