We had a close family member pass away unexpectedly. I had all of his remaining personal effects in my garage and finally this evening I decided to make my way through it and clean everything up. Well, I successfully put everything of significance down to one box. I wonder if what I selected for that final box, would be the same thing that he would have selected?

Come to think of it, what would I want in my final box that represents the dash in my headstone? As I was organizing his things I started to contemplate a few. There is a few journals that I would definitely put in there. There is some photographs, some digital archives of videos and speeches and things of that nature. There are a few things that I could not fit in the box, like a heirloom or two. However, beyond that, nothing much. Maybe a favorite book or two?

So why do I have all this stuff?
