The One with Passion

It always starts with one. The one with the passion. My daughter and I went and participated in the Grateful Dead at the Movies where they played one of their 1972 concerts in Copenhagen Denmark. That show highlights a song at the beginning and end by Ron “pigpen” McKernan. Most people do not know that it was pigpen that was the passion behind starting a blues band, which initially was called the Warlocks. He recruited the initial members and of course the local banjo, steel guitar instructor Jerry Garcia was a good candidate. Later that year, he would die from drinking himself to death, unfortunately. People do not remember him much, but it was his idea, his vision, his passion that started one of the most remarkable musical groups in human history. Could you be the one? Minus the excessive drinking of course?
