Day 76 – Today was the day that I…..

I have a suggestion! When you create your 365 list in the morning, think of this statement – “Today was the day that I…” and then fill in the rest. I can think of some fun jokes to fill that in with, but I can also think of some pretty important things that I would fill in there. The 365 commitment has lead me down that path already. Many days I have been living a purpose focused life.

For example, January 7th 2018 was the day that I created The 365 Commitment. January 8th 2018 was the day that I recruited the first member. February 28th 2018 was the day that I started running. Today, March 23rd was that day that I….

Can you start the rest of that sentence with a word like: started, created, planned, developed, decided, helped, served, laughed, found, provided, discovered, realized, visioned, wandered, received, figured, gave. Today was the day that I laughed with my …. Today was the day I figured out how to…. Today was the day that I decided to…. Today was the day that I created…..

What is your day going to be? Will you remember this date forever? How many days in your life will you actually remember? As I think back about my life there are some days that I do remember. Some good, some bad. However, there are days when I made important decisions, changed my life in amazing ways.

Perhaps a good course in life is to plan to accumulate as many of those good days as you can. The days that you will remember forever. A lifetime ambition might be to remember every day of the year for something special. February 15th was the day that I….December 6th was the day that I….July 24th was the day that I….

So what is March 23rd going to be remembered as? If it is going to be special, then you better get started. Put that at the top of your list and mark it #1.
