I have often times heard the comment that we should reach of the stars, or reach for success. We should strive for greatness and all of that. However, I think a better ambition is to reach for failure. Yup!
Seeking for failure is harder than just success. A person that seeks the failure point is really pushing themselves to the edge of their capability. A person that seeks just for mere success, is only getting a successful completion.
For example. I had a goal today of 8X800 sprints at my fastest pace possible. I reached for success, and for the most part achieved. It was hard and I was relieved to be done. However, what would have been even better if I would have reached for failure. I should have kept doing those sprints until I just had absolutely nothing left. That would be a whole different experience!
Reaching for failure requires us to actually attempt to extend beyond our capabilities, to push the limit to the extreme, to the breaking point. So should our goal then be to fail? I think so.
So when you fail. Be Happy! You Did it!
