When of the mantra’s that I followed early on when I had to crawl out of bed to go running was Embrace the Suck. As time has evolved I have realized that it is more about loving what is necessary then actually relishing in that which is the worst. Accepting what you have to do is not enough. Getting through the day is not sufficient. Success comes when you learn to love what is needed, what you get to do today. Love the opportunity in front of you regardless of what it is. The only reasonable approach to life is to accept what is before us in the moment, as worry about what got you to this point is not going to help much. Dwelling on what could be or should be will not help either. Rather what you have with you now, what is before you at this juncture in your life is what is worthy of your pursuit. Sufficient is the evil of the day to borrow the Christian teaching.

So love what is necessary. Learn to live the moments and cherish them. Stop trying to be something, prove something, become something. Rather exist and exist well.
