If you watch a circus act, pay attention to the tight rope walkers. You will notice that they are always looking straight ahead. They rarely look side to side and if they do not, they will only do that while stationary. Where your eyes focus, your body tends to follow. So when trying to stay on a tight narrow course, it is imperative to keep the eyes focused straight ahead and on the end objective.

If your thoughts are plagued by alternative roots, or other directions you will constantly find yourself distracted and any hopes of walking the tight rope will be dashed.
